I was going to work on cleaning up my scrap area today. Decided I really need to dejunk/get rid of things that have been hanging around forever that I’m never going to use. Start sorting and immediately get distracted playing with trash. We’ll see if anything comes of it.

So today is the day we leave on vacation.
And in the midst of packing, cleaning the house, etc. I suddenly decide that I have to do another project. Wouldn’t it be nice to have a little book to take with me so that I can immediately journal about each day, without losing memories by the time I actually get home to scrap the trip? So I put off finishing packing (yet again) and sit down to make this. Every other page has room for photos to add later and I’ve also added an envelope to hold ticket stubs, etc. inside one of the covers.
I used a little spiral bound 6×9 album that I’ve had sitting around forever and altered it, using lots of office supplies and painters tape. It went perfectly with the ribbons, lace, and ricrac from this month’s Zany Zinnia Flea Market kit and came together soooo fast. (So it wasn’t too much procrastination after all. :-))

If you know me, you know I have a hard time with simple scrapping. My first instinct seems to be to throw whatever I can find on a page lately. 🙂
But this picture called for something simple.
So I used some more older American Crafts paper (LOVE the leaves!) and the yellow ribbon from the Zany Zinnia Flea Market kit at SavvynSassy . Also used some American Crafts Thickers and Rub ons and some random buttons.
Threw the scraps from the last layout together with a Tim Coffey metal sentiment and some stickers and voila!–free greeting cards! 🙂 Check out SavvynSassy to get some of this cool lace!
Playing with the August ZZ Flea Market kit from SavvynSassy. I also got a real deal on some of this American Crafts 6th Avenue paper. It’s an older line, but like all the American Crafts stuff, I’m still in love with it.
Supplies: American Crafts 6th Avenue papers; AC Thickers; Lil Davis chipboard alphas; Prima Press n Petals; various buttons; Dymo labels; The Paper Studio alpha stickers; Zig pen
I recently completed a Christmas book that someone requested me to do. I used all Basic Grey fruitcake papers with lots of other embellishments on cream cardstock. While some of them were challenging (using small polaroids) I’m happy with how it came out. Here are the layouts, one by one, for a total of 20 pages.
