What’s Scrappening (link in sidebar) is having a NSD online crop Saturday. I participated in their last online crop and they gave away a LOT of prizes. You should really check it out. Lots of fun games and challenges.
Also, if you’re a new member and refer to me in your post in the “welcome to the pad” thread, for every 5 of your posts you will be entered for a drawing for a $25 gift certificate to the store. Come and play along!! (FYI: my username is meofcourse80).
See ya there!
Autumn is becoming quite a well-traveled child. We’re off again tomorrow morning for nearly a week. Back for a week and a half. Then off again for another week and a half.
In fact, I should be doing just about anything but blogging right now. Gotta get dishes done, laundry done, and packed tonight. Oh yeah, and an hour of exercise. When I’m going to get that in, I have no idea.
Totally unrelated photo here, but I’ve been feeling bad about not posting more…
Sorry about this picture. It’s really rotten. Taken inside at night in the dark with all kinds of glare and shadows. But I sent them all out, so I don’t have any more cards to take a better picture.
I started out trying to make shower invites to match the wedding invitations, but just couldn’t handle any more baby blue. So spring colors it was!
The flower stamp is heat embossed and did some fun little doodles all over. 🙂

Here’s a somewhat recent experiment with negative space. Can you tell I finally bought my first circle punch? This layout is so out of my comfort zone.

This is yet another based on a KMA challenge. Very different from my usual style, since I was trying to scraplift one of their designer girls. But I like how it turned out. It’s about dd’s love of “drawing” and I had her add some scribbles to the sides of the journaling block for fun.

I was really happy with how this layout turned out, even though I didn’t do any journaling on it. LOL-I’m usually too verbose and have to have journaling everywhere. 🙂 Just some photos we shot at the park. LOVE LOVE LOVE this Crate paper (bottom strip b&w).
Supplies: PP-Crate, Paper Studio; Flowers-MME Magnolia, felt from Hobby Lobby; Rhinestone flowers, butterflies, etc-Darice; Chipboard-Lil Davis; Flocked Alphas-Miss Elizabeth; Ribbon-Offray; Stamp-Heidi Swapp; green staples-swingline
Another layout I did for a challenge at Keeping Memories Alive. This one was supposed to be about airing dirty laundry; scrapping about something negative in your life. I decided to take it a little more literally and had a lot of fun with it. Especially painting all that “mud” 🙂

Here is a layout about me in highschool. Almost everything on here is old stuff or things that I won. Hidden journaling in the file folder behind the photo. Really simple, but that’s how I wanted it.
Okay, I know it sounds a little funny, but I actually do have a problem with hoarding scraps. Not the little bitty ones, but the ones that I know for sure are big enough to get another project out of them. Ideally, when I make a layout, I immediately use up the scraps to make cards. However, a lot of the time, there just isn’t time to make another project or I get distracted. So I have a file box full of different colored scraps.
My challenge for you is to make a project using nothing but scraps of cardstock and patterned paper. You can add other embellishments, of course, and adhesive, but use up some of those scraps! Again, if I get 5 or more responses, I will draw for an itty bitty RAK.
Oh, and I haven’t forgotten about challenge #2. I have a project in progress that already has well over a yard of ribbon on it, just need to get pictures. 🙂
Just a little sneak peek of the basket I’m making for Artsymama’s (see link in sidebar) May Basket Swap. I started out going for shabby chic, but the basket had a mind of it’s own and made it very clear that it wanted to be bright, cute, and a little funky. 🙂
